The school I go to is a bit...odd in terms of how they do things, at least in grading respect. An "A-" at my school is a BA. A "B-" is a CB, etc. Odd, I know. I put in my grades to the the Excel spreadsheet of the AMCAS GPA calculator, and it gives my "BA's" a 3.3 weight, versus the 3.7 weight that it gives for "A-".
I contacted them (AMCAS), and they said I need to talk to my school about it. My schools website says a BA is a 3.5. Anyone else ran into this issue or have a school with a similar grading scale? Or any idea what to do? If I put my "BA's" as "A-", my AMCAS GPA is significantly higher (obviously). But if I do the reverse, its significantly lower (also obviously). Any help??
