How many decimal places do they report a GPA, and do they round? I assume it's up to x.xx. So if someone had a 3.497 GPA, would they round that to 3.50?

Thanks

Yes, the GPAs on your AMCAS will have only two decimal points .. though, if your college for some reason has three decimal points, they won't just be rounding. AMCAS recalculates your GPA based on the grades you enter and will spit out your AMCAS GPAs upon verification .. all of which are two decimal points.

Also, if your institution doesn't round, your GPA may change by a digit. Example: A user here got a 1 credit hour B, school calculated his cGPA as 3.99, AMCAS rounded what was at least a 3.995 and his application said 4.00 cGPA. 👍
