Hey,

This may be really self explanatory, but here is my question:
All my letters have been received by AMCAS. I started receiving e-mails from schools stating they need me to submit LORs, and that they participate in the AMCAS letter service. Does this mean AMCAS automatically sends them my letters, or must I do something additionally to send them to my schools? Btw, I have designated my letters to my schools on AMCAS.

Thanks!

So, AMCAS should automatically send LOR to schools? I don't have to do anything ( if all goes well)? For scools not using AMCAS, my school sent LOR to virtualevals. Does this automatically send LOR to schools or do I have to tell them to send them?

LORs through AMCAS: must be uploaded to AMCAS and designated to each of your schools. If you did this before getting verified the LORs will automatically be sent to your schools once verification is complete. If you added LORs or designated them after verification you must re-submit your AMCAS application, and they will be available to your schools very quickly (next business day).

LORs not through AMCAS: you must send them or have your school send them directly to each of your med schools that does not participate in the AMCAS letters service. You should also verify receipt of these letters with each individual med school. Some schools have status pages, others send out e-mails once LORs are received, other schools you have to call or e-mail directly. Good luck!
