Is there a way you can find out what undergraduate courses at your institution would satisfy AMCAS prereqs or any other specific med school ones? For instance, a lot of med schools require statistics. At University A, they offer social statistics, biostatistics, geostatistics. Would any med school accept it as long as it had statistics in the name?

AMCAS is just the application service. They don't have prereq courses. You need to check each individual school tow which you want to apply (I know it's a pain) and make sure that they will take your course. Each school has slightly different rules.

In my experience, biostats is the best way to go.
