Has anyone who submitted their AMCAS app on 6/25 or later received word that it has begun to be processed?
i submitted mine on june 24th, MCAT scores appeared about 2-3 weeks ago, 'change notification' button and previous schools have appeared in the past week, but NO evidence of grade verification. undergrad was quarter-system school, grad school is semesters. (edited 8/3/01)
Who has missing mcat scores on their printout? (Mine are now blank?!?) Seems like nothing has gone right with this endless load of crap we have to repeatedly deal with. I'm just waiting for them to tell me something unfortunate occurred with my file.
Submitted June 28. Got some funky email about my app being transmitted but I doubt I've been processed yet.
Submited July 6th evening, not processed, no change notification button, NOTE: QUARTER SYSTEM school.
Submitted, 7/02, semester school. No processing, no button change to "change option." All transcripts, supposely received by AMCAS over the phone. Was told by a "specialist" that mine is active and will be processed in three to four weeks.
Submitted June 26th, MCATs listed, previous apps listed, change notification button change, but no verification. Also quarter system for undergrad. Andrew
Originally submitted June 24. However, re-submitted July 3 and that's what appears on my printout. No change verification process button or process date.
Submitted June 23, semester system, nothing thus far but my MCAT scores appearing on the app (and AMCAS's email about my "missing" transcripts).
rxfudd, they sent you an email about it? How long ago? I've emailed twice and called twice, with problems with a couple of transcripts. I have never heard back by email. Thanks for your info.
Yeah, they sent me what looked like a generic, automated email - here is the actual email I received: TRANSCRIPT STATUS REPORT This notification concerns official transcripts that support your AMCAS application. Looks like I'm going to have to call tomorrow...
rxfudd, did you ask for a transcript exception. I did but I got the same email you did and it was denied my request. I did a study abroad program (only two classes) not affiliated with a US university so I didn't have a transcript sent. What was your exception request regarding?
AMCAS has emailed me 4 times telling me of my submission! I dont know what the heck is going on, since my app. is still stalled. Has this happened to anyone else?
I read on another thread that you can't trust the "print app" button as much as we thought. One person called and found that their grades had been verified, although the print version didn't reflect this.
I called AMCAS at 9AM EST this morning and waited only 17 minutes. The specialist verified that my transcripts were indeed in their hands and that I should "disregard the email" I received. More fun from the people at AMCAS!
Wow! figure five, that's only 3 weeks, which is exactly how long their procedures & policies says they will take once you've submitted if they have your transcripts. Could be things are looking up. Or maybe you're just a lucky duck! Are you on quarter or semester system?
actually AMCAS has been saying that it will take 4-6 weeks to process your app, not 3. so figure five is pretty damn lucky. it's now been six weeks since i submitted and my grades still haven't been verified. i called AMCAS yesterday and the guy told me there was nothing he could do.
