I volunteered in a hospital for about a year, 4 hours/week. Occasionally, I took time off when I didn't have time to go. Sometimes it would be 2-3 weeks off. AMCAS asks for an average number of hours a week. Do I factor in the times I missed? Should I just put in 4 hours/week or should I average, for example 100 hours over 12 months?
Thanks!!

I don't think it will make a difference to the adcoms. They just want to get a general idea of how much time you spent in that setting (was it one day of shadowing or a full-time job, that sort of thing). If you feel the need to explain it in more detail use the description section.
