I am wondering whether or not on the AMCAS primary application to select the option that I will be retaking the MCAT.

I have a cGPA 3.92. The first time I took the MCAT, I got a 32Q, but I know I can do better and so I've opted to retake my MCAT this year july 29th. However if I indicate that I'm taking the MCAT again, I can not be "Complete" until my 2nd MCAT score are out, aproximately aug 29th ish. But if I do not indicate I can be complete as early as probably early July.

Now I want to be able to be complete as early as possible so that I can have a very good shot at low-mid tier schools, but I also want to have a good shot at getting into mid-higher tier schools.

So my question to you guys is, if I do not indicate that I will be writing the MCAT again, but I end up doing so anyway, will my 2nd MCAT score be seen by the schools that i applied to?

I remember LizzyM saying just last week that you don't even have to indicate that you're retaking. AMCAS already knows since they control the exam. That shouldn't delay your AMCAS being verified in any case. If you are retaking, you would want your application to be complete when you get your new scores -- otherwise, what's the point of retaking? It's possible that I'm not understanding your question correctly

Thanks, ok so let me rephrase my question.

I want to be complete for the low-mid tier schools ASAP, since my current MCAT (32Q) is high enough to be a competitive applicant for those schools. But I also want to retake the MCAT so that I can be competitive at mid-high tier schools. I dont want to indicate that I'm retaking because that would delay the time it takes for me to be complete at low-mid tier schools since they would wait until my 2nd MCAT scores are out.

So what i was thinking was to not indicate that im retaking the MCAT, which allows me to be complete at the back up schools very early on, and at the same time, I can still have a good shot at mid-high tier schools since
