So when I apply next year I would face this hypothetical scenario: Should I wait until I get my spring grades to get a GPA bump from 3.56 to 3.60, or should I apply with a 3.56? I noticed that the AAMC website has stats on GPA/MCAT and acceptances, and the 3.6-3.80 row is separate from the 3.4-3.59 row. Would this be a significant bump?My science GPA is around the same. Also, this would mean submitting in mid-June as opposed to whenever AMCAS opens.

Try reading the dozens of other threads on this very topic.

Dude, June 5 to mid June barely makes a difference you would most likely be verified by the end of june transmission date anyway, or at least very slightly after.

Here's my suggestion. Don't even bother applying if you cant get your app in by June 5th. If you apply the day after applications open it's already too late.

Also, that .04 gpa difference is HUGE it will make or break you. It's the difference between getting into Harvard and a school in the Caribbean.

With your subpar MCAT I would probably retake it. Anything below a 40 wont cut it.

/sarcasm

Seriously just apply, you're stats are fine. You're over thinking things.

I mean, it couldn't hurt. I'm just saying waiting like a week to submit doesn't make essentially any difference
