I was wondering if we can have our transcripts sent to AMCAS this month before we submit our app? Is that normally how it is done or do you do it after your app is complete?

Once AMCAS accepts transcripts you should send them, you don't have to wait till you submit your application. They will make a file for you and then when your application is submitted they will add it to your transcripts.

i think so.
and once they start processing applications, give it a couple weeks.
if yours isn't complete (meaning they lost your transcripts), then send another copy.

i remember i sent mine early last year, and they were actually (gasp) quick to process them (2-3 days), after the processing began.
but yeah other people have been majorily screwed...so if i were you, send them in ASAP, then again if necessary.

Their web site says on or about May 5th. I would actually put in the requests to your schools on May 15-20.

Don't forget that the schools can take a long time to get the thing sent over.

June, I can only assume if you hit submit it will tell you to wait, but I don't know. I do know it is NOT open for applications now so wait till June.
