I'm doing my amcas and every time I log out and log back in, I have to enter my personal info again such as birthday, security question etc... why do I have to do that? Is it just me or that's the case for everyone? and everytime I do that I get an email from amcas that says "You have confirmed your AAMC account". It's sooo dumb!!! 😡

Contact them and tell them what's wrong. It sounds like you're the only one experiencing this.

never had that problem

yeah, maybe a case of phishing?

I never have to do this.

Make sure you are on the correct website. Sometimes i think i'm on youtube but it's actually a mispelling of the domain to get you to click on a ads.

...I have to do this too. I can't tell if you guys are being serious, you really didn't have to re-enter everything?? Eff and I thought this was normal this whole time -_-"
Maybe you have two accounts (one MCAT and one AMCAS). That's a dilemma I was in for a bit.

They're serious. You shouldn't have to do that (as far as I know). It should just be your AMCAS username and password and then it should take you to the main page. Here is the correct AMCAS login: https://services.aamc.org/AMCAS2_2013/

If you are indeed using the correct site then contact AMCAS and find out why it's happening.

I just figured what was wrong with mine OP. I have no idea how, but I would enter some username/password combination that would work to get me to the registration page where most of the items were filled in, fill it in, register (again for the billionth time)... sound familiar?

This would be followed by an email with a NEW username (which I happened to know the password I would chose for that specific username--idk how this'll turn out for you. Maybe if you don't remember it you'll be able to request it). From now on, log on using the username in the email!
I have NO idea how, I've been able to semi-login with the other username. Hopefully that's the same situation you were in and now it's fixed.

I cannot believe I didn't figure this out sooner.
