On the "designate your schools" section, there is a column that says "date transmitted to schools." What exactly is being transmitted? I need to change the date of a post-secondary experience, but I guess I don't want to do this if, say, a paper application was already sent to the schools.

It doesn't mean anything as far as I can determine. I believe AMCAS says that it means your address was transmitted, but just because a date isn't there...doesn't mean the school lacks your address. So, like I said...doesn't mean anything. Change your EC info at your own risk, however.
