Hello!

I have a question regarding to the GPA conversion. (From University of Toronto GPA-Canadian- to American GPA)
I have searched the forum and google a bit and this is what I got:
90-100= A+ = 4.33
80-89= A = 4.0
70-79= B = 3.0

Is this how it goes??
Thanks a lot in advance🙂

I dont know where you got that from, but as a Canadian I know that the scale is. UofT has a different scale than that.

A+ from your university = 4.33 to American scale
A = 4
A- = 3.7
B+=3.3
B=3
B-=2.7

So just calculate it based on that

BTW do you know how do they officially calculate overall GPA?

Overall GPA is all the courses you have completed in Fall/Winter and Summer
Thank you! I was planning to exclude the summer courses cause I heard some schools do not look at them. Thanks🙂

Do you know what the purpose of having these two different GPAs is?

Many American schools do not have the +/- with their grades. They get a straight A, B, C, D or F.

So the GPA without the +/- can be used to compare you with these kids.
