AmEx for ERAS?

I need to get a 0% card to help with poverty until I get a residency paycheck. I was thinking of getting an American Express card (I guess not all AmEX cards need to be paid off every month) when I thought of my next big expense: ERAS!

Anyone know if you can pay for applying to ERAS with AmEx? or is it just the usual two?

ERAS don't accept AmExp, only Visa, master card or checking account.
