How do the PI (isoelectric point) of acidic amino acids compare to the PI of basic amino acids.

Also, if the pH is under the PI of the AA, then the AA will have a net positive charge, right? and a net negative charge if pH is above the PI?

At physiologic pH, what are the charges on acidic and basic amino acids?

Basic amino acids will have a higher PI (you need to remove a proton), acidic will have a lower PI (you need to add a proton)

Yes.

Acidic are negative (they have donated a proton) and basic are positive (they have accepted a proton).
