My MCAT is in like 2 weeks and I have only done AAMCs 3 and 4. I was thinking about taking a practice test every other day, using the other day to review the test/go over weak points. So basically I'll be taking AAMCs 5-11 in two weeks. What do you guys think?
Thanks!

that is exactly what i did, it was pretty intense imo
not too much as long as you dont burn out, if you do take a few day breaks
make sure you have a few days to cool down before the big day

This is exactly what I'm planning on doing, having written 3, 4 and 7 so far. I've found my raw score increasing (107-109-113) yet my scaled score has been 29-30-30. Due to the curve, I was 2 questions away from a 32 today but it just wasn't my day lol. Should be fine but review your tests the day of, that way you're more focused on what to review the next day as I find it takes a while to go over them.

did you find your scores increasing as you did more tests?

Yea, just a little bit especially VR, i was getting 9 consistently but then I started to see some 10 and 11. Science sections, not so much. it is hard to break out of 12-13

sweet and how did you end up doing on the real thing?
Last aug
13 ps 10 vr 11 bs

Watch out for the bs passage, they can put one rly tough passage with all the charts and graphs and get you hard. Everything else is pretty consistent with aamc fls IMO.

That's what I have been doing. I;m testing on aug 23rd. About 2-3 weeks ago I began the every other day routine, my score went up an average of 5 points since I started taking the first couple practices. I did wear out a bit late week into early this week. So I'm taking tomorrow off from practice exams and going to do more content review.
I've been doing an MCAT one day, then the next day going over it, noting down any words I didn't recognize, topics I was not 100% sure of ect. then spending the rest of the day going on Khan academy, kaplan, and googling them. I have been taking the weekends off for the most part to try to prevent burn out.

you dont really have a choice at this stage. but its not the end of the world.

do half of your post game after the FL and the other half the next day. dont try to review all of the test in one day

That is pretty much what I did for the last couple weeks. Only I got a little distracted and stretched it out to 3-4 days sometimes and I only took #7, 9, 10, & 11. My score went up from #7 to #9 and then sloped down gradually for #10 & then #11. I took #11 two days before the real thing and my actual score ended up being the same as #9 (my highest PT). I think it was sloping down from there because I was burning out from doing them too often. In other words, don't be discouraged if you see your scores going the wrong way at the end. It doesn't necessarily mean the downward trend will continue for the real test. Good luck!

hmm ok thanks!
i just took aamc 5 and got a 33 (11,11,11). 6 tests to go! i may skip one or two of the earlier ones though.

Every other day is way too much. You're not giving yourself ample time to sit down and internalize the mistakes you made and how to correct them in the future. After you take a diagnostic, you want to correct, go over mistakes, attack a few new points of weakness, take a breather, then do another. The fastest I would fly through practice tests is once every 4 to 5 days. OR, if you're not worried about overall test burnout, you can do one section per day. So long as you have your tempo down, this shouldn't affect your score on the real thing.

This is what I did. In fact, I sometimes took a practice MCAT everyday. I only cut back the 3 days before the actual MCAT, because I didn't want to burn out. I really think this helped me get into a groove, and I kind of looked forward to see what kind of score I could get.

I think it's fine. Like most others I was strictly adhering to the 1 max per week rule, but after falling heavily behind I've been doing one every 1-2 days and it's not as bad or as end-of-the-world that everyone thinks it is. The main problem I've been seeing is lack of improvement - before when I was doing them weekly I'd see a few point increase every week, but now doing them everyday they've stayed pretty consistent... so I guess just be prepared for that factor. I'm pretty much done with content at this point so I just want to see how many different ways they can throw something at you, so if you're like me and done with content then I think doing FLs every 1-2 days isn't a bad idea.

Part of the benefit of your plan is that it builds stamina. The ability to concentrate at your best for 5 hours is going to serve you well.

I took three full length exams per week for the last few weeks. I took every single AAMC exam, and used some TBR CBT's earlier on. I took the last two AAMC's this week, and I'm taking my MCAT tomorrow.

Once you have mastered the material and your test-taking skills, it comes down to execution. While it may have made sense to start your AAMC's earlier, I think it is more important to do them all than it is to give yourself break days. Just don't do one the day before your exam.

I crammed a test a day for the last week. I would start from 11am and it would take me too 8pm. I completed each test(including the writing section) and went over the entire test right and wrong answers. I only had three weeks after classes ended, so that was the reason for the cramming.

Although it was really intense and I would have preferred more time, looking back, Im glad it happened that way. I was worried about my mental endurance for the actual test and I felt doing such long sessions helped me a lot in that area. My stamina on the actual test was top notch. Ended up with a 34

This is pretty much exactly what I did. Started a couple weeks before the test and took one test every other day and used the time in between to go over my weak points. For the final week, I would advise taking the test at your actual test time (especially important if your test is at 8am like mine and you don't usually get up so early).

I also took the final test (AAMC 11) a couple days before the real thing and then took the day before the test off.

Good luck!

realistically, how much should i expect to see my score improve as i do these rapid aamcs?
i started from a 30 on aamc 3 and got a 33 on aamc 5. the thing is that my content review was not good the first time, so i am content reviewing everything again (almost done). is it possible to be getting 35s (my goal) by my mcat test date (8/23)? i just started content reviewing orgo, since i havent reviewed because i took orgo 2 in the spring (i missed a lot of orgo questions on the bs)

Just did aamc7, got a 34 (13,10,11). Hopefully this improvement will continue!

Nice! Personally, my scores fluctuated quite a bit through all the tests, staying within a range of 3-4 points. I felt like the tests got more difficult as they went on (AAMC 10 was the most difficult for me), but it's different for everyone based on your individual strengths and weaknesses.

Just did aamc 8 and got a 34 again (12,11,11).

My test is next week on Thursday and I'm aiming for a 35. Should I go for it, or should I wait til January?
