An end to SGR?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Looks like there is a bipartisan bill in Congress looking to repeal the SGR and replace with 0.5% annual payment increases, with an eye toward quality metrics after 2018. I'm sure there is all sorts of pain in the fine print, but at this point it beats a 27% paycut.

The SGR has been a PITA for years, and even though an increase that is a fraction of inflation is pathetic, I agree, at least there won't be as much crazy each year as they threaten then don't cut everything by a third.
