It'd be hilarious if I was in you guys' classes.

you'd beat the s*** out of us wouldn't you? Take our lunch money? And after the beating (and humiliation), you'd spit at us and walk away?

Look 2Pac, you NEED to retake your DAT. 19 is a decent score but it will not put you in a competitive package with your current GPA my friend. if you have a 3.4 than ya, that package is relatively decent, NOT GREAT just decent. You would need A LOT of leadership and cummunity service to strengthen your application; as well as a few handshakes with dental school reps. I dont know how your EC looks but you def need them.

Back to your DAT, I am sure if I were in admissions shoe, I would wonder why you're satisfied with only a 19 with your GPA package. I am from SDSU and I can tell you that not a lot of our pre-dental club students got into dental school with a 19 or below even with a 3.2 GPA and decent amount of EC. Students get into DS with 19 or 18 usually have a 3.6 - 3.7 GPA. I wouldn't really say SDSU is EASIER because it's pretty darn hard when the professor only give the upper 10% 11% students A in science classes and there are plenty of smart and hard working students at SDSU. They could've gone to any university they wanted to but SDSU is a good a cheaper option.

People do get in with lower academic package, but they made significant connection with dental school admissions or recruiter to score that one and ONLY interview they needed. You really need to bring up your GPA, take a lot of classes to show admissions you can handle a heavy laod of classes. Dental school is no joke, I got my axx handed to me at Pacific being in the bottom pile among my classmates. Good luck and really think about that DAT re-take. Don't get discourage
