yes!!u r right...inner medulla is the ans.

what is the ans for this-
predominant Ig in saliva??
IgA or secretory IgA??

This should be secretory IgA...
IgA ==> 2 forms...Serum IgA and Secretory IgA...Serum is made by Bcells in blood and Secretory IgA is the one that is secreted on mucosal surfaces such as saliva, tears, Epithelial secretions, etc.!

okay.i got it now...

if am wrong do correct me
thank you so much in advance

i feel like number 1 should be ADH ...i mean i would pick that if I had to pick between renin and ADH cuz renin stimulates aldosterone release and is not as direct effect as that of ADH.

for number1 -- its S.sanguis...that is the most abundant strep sp in oral cavity...
S.mutans is the primary etilogic agent for caries..but does that mean its the most abundant in dental plaque??? please do respond

yess!!u r right.S.mutans need not necessarily be most common organism in dental plaque.

thanks for the ans gaya.can u explain the ans for the above question.

substrate for glucosyltransferase??
a)sucrose
b)glucose
c)fructose

it enables the transfer of glucose.so,does that mean that glucose is the substrate for glucosyltransferas

substrate is sucrose .

thanks for the ans metrogyl80.r u sure of the ans?because i was going through other threads and the ans has been discussed as glucose by some......so,just got confused.

1)which pulp horn of a permanent mand first molar is the smallest?
a)distal
b)mesiofacial
c)distofacial
d)mesiolingual
e)distolingual

ans is distal <a>

how many pulp horns does the permanent mand 1st molar have?4 or 5??since the distal cusp is not much significant cusp as others, does it have a pulp horn?
which is the largest and sharpest cusp in permanent mand 1st molar??mesiofacial or mesiolingual??

thanks morphology for the ans.can u explain the reason..just want to know if there is any logic to ans this type of questions.

squmous epithelium function- protection and also many layers right, so i think it is the answer.
i am not sure
is it the answer?

what i think is,substrate is the starting one from which reaction starts,it is the sucrse which starts and broken n glucose and fructose.. The enzyme glucosyltransferase (GTF) produced by mutans streptococci is the key factor in this process. Oral bacterial GTFs use sucrose as a substrate in synthesis of either water-soluble or insoluble glucans.

majority of our sugars will be taken in sucrose or milk sugar, unless if we eat only glucose powder, main substrate wont be glucose.

if i am wrong correct me.

whch one is the least permeable to membrane?
02
co2
h2o
sodium
ethanol

is it sodium?

hi
yess the ans is sodium.
ions and charged molecules and large polar molecules r impermeable.
nonpolar and small polar molecules r permeable.

i dont have the correct ans for this.according to my thinking, since transitional epithelium is present in uterus which is subjected to much trauma during pregnancy and birth,so i thought it best sustains the trauma.....
i dont know if im right....

pbkal please do not confuse uterus w/ bladder and ureters....
Transitional epithelium is present in bladder/ureters to accomodate the fluctuating levels of fluid.

Strat squamous epith is better suited for trauma.

can anyone clear this doubt-
sublingual salivary gland-does it come under purely mucous type??
actually,it is categorized under mucous type in dental decks in one page..
it has serous demilunes-means it has mucous acini with serous cap....so,does it not become mixed type now??
so,is it mucous type or mixed type??

sublingual -The sublingual gland consists mostly of Mucous acini capped with serous demilunes and is therefore categorized as a mixed gland.

submandibular-secretory cells are of both serous and mucous types, the submandibular gland is a mixed gland, though it is mostly serous.👍👍

1)which of foll. occurs in a right lateral movements?
-the rt condyle primarily rotates
-the rt condyle moves down the eminentia (what it means? )
-the facial cusps of the mandibular left side pass under the maxi left facial cusps
-the facial cusps of the mandi rt side pass under the maxillary rt lingual cusps

2)condyles on the laterotrusive side generally rotates abt a
-sagittal axis only
-horizontal axis only
-horizontal axis and translates laterally
-vertical axis and translates laterally

3)in the horizontal plane, as the mandible moves in a lateral excursion, the midline of mandible moves
-straight anteriorly
-straight posteriorly
-straight laterally
-anteriorly and laterally
-posteriorly and laterally

4)when the mandible performs a laterotrusive movement, the laterotrusive side condyle moves primarily abt which foll. axis?
-vertical
-sagittal
-horizontal
-transverse

thanks...

+2 as its pka is 3....so as we go towards lesser pH,concentration of H+ ions increase causing +charge.....

Answer should be B....bcoz loop of henle is present in medulla, and hence as we move towards ascending loop concentration decreases...max conc in medulla

-on the facial and lingual, it is at same level

2)from facial view, where would the CEJ be most apically positioned on the crown of primary mandibular first molar?
-mesial one third
-middle one third
-distal one third

3)the primary mandibular first molar normally exhibit which of following?
