ans is given as thyroglobulin.i agree with that.but,TSH will also increase due to less circulating T3 nd T4 according to me........
pls clear this doubt..

nucleus ambigus

nucleus ambigus

can u pls explain?muscles derived from the branchial arches means either the masticatory muscles or the facial muscles-which r supplied by facial nerve, which is related to superior salivatory nucleus........i thought in this way........
pls give the correct explanation........thanku....

which of the following represents the location of lingual height of contour on the crown of mand 2nd PM?

same third as on the facial crown surface

i think middle 3rd is the answer........but,occlusal 3rd is given as ans......is the key wrong or me??pls confirm....thanku...

muscles of facial expression are innervated by facial n.
motor nucleus of facial n is nucleus ambigus.

sup salivatory is parasympathetic nucleus of facial n. going to pterygopalatine and submandibular gang.

thanks alot docmhv
can u pls tell me where u read abt nucleus ambiguus related to facial nerve?
i could not find any information regarding that.........
according to me,nucleus ambiguus is related to CN IX,X and mostly associated with swallowing, gag reflex......
pls clear this doubt...thanku

since the question does not specify the arch, muscles are also stylopharyngeus and pharyngeal and laryngeal musculature.....which is by CN 9 and pharynx and larynx which is by CN 10....which as nucleus ambigus as motor nucleus.......hence....

i am sorry abt the confusion with facial n.......

but the ans is not sup salivatory for the reason mentioned before.

in 2 papers i solved the answer is given as pentagon......where as i always thought it was square as mentioned in kaplan n first aid.......but in wheelrs it says the lingual surface of mand 2nd pm is square ......so, if u consider lingual side as square and add the mesial n distal marginal ridges to that lingual square shape, u get a pentagon......that is what i have come to understand.....if someone can give some other explanation to the pentagon shape, and where to read up, please do so.......

lingual height of contour in mand 1st PM?
cervical 3rd
middle 3rd...............
junction of middle and cervical 3rd.

anser is @ middle 3rd
because : ht of contour located @ middle 3rd of crown on the LINGUAL surface of all MAXILLARY and MANDIBULAR POST teeeeth....

hope this will clear it uppppp!!!

hey twinkle star,,,, whats ur source for ur answer ??? i think its suppose to bemiddle third,,
because : the ht of contour located in the MIDDLE 3RD of the crown on the lingual surface of all max and mand post teeth..
thanks !!!!

Hi! wadent,
Even my understanding was that the height of contour in the middle third, but while doing one of the released papers,i read it other wise. There it says that it is in the occlusal one third.
