Can anyone enlighten me: is there an essay in addition to the personal statement on the AAMC 2003 Application? I thought there was an additional essay last year but I didn't see it in the "worksheet" for 2003.
I went to enter my grades from the past year, and AMCAS is not automatically converting them to AMCAS grades, and they are not showing up in my GPA! Ugh. I was sure that this happened last time...

•That was the vision statement. It is now gone.

For those of us who may be reapplying: Do we really have to reenter everything on AMCAS? They don't have the grades saved? What about transcripts? Do we have to get official transcripts sent again even though they should have them already? Thanks for your help.
I have a question about post-secondary experiences. It won't seem to let me put any date later than December 2002. Are other people having this problem?
Also, I'm a reapplicant and when I try to update my old experiences, it doesn't save the changes. I think I'm going to have to delete them and re-enter them.

•••••Yep!! I'm having the same problem - looks like med schools will just wonder why I'm randomly going to quit my job at the end of the year!

Thanks Watcha, I appreciate the sympathy, but I'm pretty far from "Califronia".
The good thing is that I'm already done entering my coursework. It took about 30 minutes this year versus about 80 hours last year. TMDSAS made me enter it all again (I have 91 classes at 5 schools!).
I feel for you guys! Hope AMCAS has been real busy fixing bugs!

•Should I send in the transcripts now? There's gotta be a way to check when they get them.. anyone know?•••••I sent in my transcripts as early as possible last year. I think they said we could send them last March. Big mistake. I found out...in July, mind you, that they "lost" one of my transcripts. They said they never received it. So I wound up sending them 3 copies fedex to be sure. Because of this mishap I didn't wind up getting my application verified until the end of October. But I did send them earlier than now. I wish I waited until late May or early June. Oh well.

•what's going on at may 15th?•••••May 15th is the "big day" where accepted students must be holding only ONE acceptance. Once May 15th comes around the waitlists will start to move more quickly (we hope!).
