I would like to encourage those who use SDN on a regular basis to become Angels or Donors. As you may already know, SDN is non-profit, and site operations and server space are paid for by these types of user donations. The more Angels and Donors we have, the better job we can do at expanding smoothly as the site grows.

Here are the perks of becoming a Donor/Angel
- PM inbox capacity increases to 250 messages
- maximum avatar size increases to 150x150 pixels
- increased upload quota
- user picture option enabled in profile
- ability to close your own threads
- Angels do not view the banner or text based advertisements

You can subscribe to become a donor for $7.50 or an Angel for $20. This subscription lasts for one year. If interested, please visit:

If you all want to we can try and be leaders in the Angel/Donor thing by making a list of who here is an Angel/Donor and challenging the other forums to come up with a bigger list. I think it would be cool because it would encourage people to "match" our money, and provide our forum with a bit more visibility on SDN.
 
I honestly didn't know it was so inexpensive. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. 🙂

Just donated. Thanks for the hread to educate me. This site has provided me with so much assistance in the last year. I want others to be able to continue using it. Very inexpensive investment compared to the knowledge and peace of mind it has afforded me.

A hearty Amen to what jboogie said. 🙂 You know, $7.50, or even $20, is a small price to pay given the amount of information (and sometimes, reassurance and counseling) this forum provides. I don't post much; I feel I don't have much business posting since it's not me that's actually applying, but we (my fiance, who is applying, and I) are happy to contribute to something that has been and continues to be so beneficial, not only to us but to others. 👍

Hey banana and rxgal, if i donate, can i request something? here's my deal, if i donate, can i use a lot of curse words for the next few posts followed by some comments that could be potentially inflammatory (figuratively speaking, i'm no arson)? 😎

P.S. My cat is far too scrawny at the moment. If I'm going to eat it, shouldn't it be plump and juicy? I need to fatten it up. :meanie:

My cat thanks ye. It just meowed, "Mrwor, mrowrow" which I figure translates to, "Thank you for your kindness and generosity, DownonthePharm." It was sort of cute, actually. I may let it live.

Listen up, everybody! I decided that the cat will live. Your safety however is in jeopardy. If I see you post here without a donor or angel logo, I will take names and give them to kitty. He's doing a little practice shooting to improve his accuracy.

I've been thinking about donating. I want a big avatar which brings up the sujbect of caverject's avatar: it just ruined super mario bros for me 🙁 😀

edit : gah and he also ruined the easter bunny. 🙁

I'll become an angel if i can be the official secretary hehehehee

yes. I might feel more generous after this stats final is over. When I study that stuff I am afraid i will accidentally fall asleep for 100 years
