I would like to encourage those who use SDN on a regular basis to become Angels or Donors. As you may already know, SDN is non-profit, and site operations and server space are paid for by these types of user donations.

100% of the past-year's donations went towards major upgrades to improve performance and stability (new servers and network equipment, and upgrading server systems). The more Angels and Donors we have, the better job we can do at expanding smoothly as the site grows.

Here are the perks of becoming a Donor/Angel
- PM inbox capacity increases to 250 messages
- maximum avatar size increases to 150x150 pixels
- increased upload quota
- user picture option enabled in profile
- ability to close your own threads
- Angels do not view the banner or text based advertisements!
- Helping out the site that has helped you!

LOL, just the $7.50, should you wish. But seriously, it's not a bad deal, and if you figure that SDN is completely non-profit and volunteer based, *somebody* has to pay for equipment upgrades. As I said, 100% of the monies donated last year were used for these purposes. Literally 100%.

Yeah, I've learned a lot on SDN. And I've also gotten a lot of entertainment value here as well; certainly more than any single movie. $7.50 isn't really that much to ask.

I like some of the perks listed here: particularly being able to close your own threads. However, I would also like the ability to:
-change people's avatars
-have my posts look like they were written by a specific someone else
-have the swearing thing disabled so that I could freely say: **** ****

How much would those features cost me?
