Does anyone have any advice on angle rankings? I do fine with every other section of PAT, but I just cannot get angle rankings down. I have tried the "hill" technique and it doesn't seem to be working well for me.

I forgot who on here said this, but what worked for me was just imagining that it is a laptop and just seeing which angle is better for watching Netflix. It may be harder at first but it clicks after some practice.

I used hills and the "Grappling Hook" method. Basically, the more secure the grapple the smaller the angle. The looser grapple is the bigger angle.

This is exactly what I have advised people who I have spoken with to do.. Minus the whole Netflix thing... But whatever works! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I found the hill method to work best for me, but also used the "tetherball" method, where I imagine one side of the angle as a pole and the other side as the ball going around that pole
 
I just moved my eyes back and forth really quickly between two in question at a time
 
One of the best things you can do is just go with your gut. Also, look at the answers and eliminate answers you know are wrong. If you see two angles that are obviously different then eliminate the answers that go against this. For ones that are close, I liked to look at the very base of the angle. This made it a little easier to tell the difference between two.

There might not be more to it. Basically imagine holding the longer side and trying to hook onto a ledge. If you are safely hooked you will have a smaller angle (sharper grapple) if you slip and fall you have a larger angle (less sharp of a grapple)

you may need to practice, and it isn't fool proof, but it is very helpful.
