Hello All,
I have been trying to figure out how to make flashcards with Netter's images with Anki Occlusion where Anki tests me on all the terms on one image before testing me on terms on another image. For example, I would like if Anki made me memorize on all the terms I have occluded on plate 234 before showing me any terms on plate 235. If anyone knows how to do this that would be a huge help!

Thanks

There are about 12 reasons why doing this would be a much poorer memory tool than simply occluding each one separately.

Select all the the shapes together and then hit the group button. And before adding hit the show all button on the bottom.

...and then be prepared to either do the card 25 times in a row because you forgot 1/20 of the terms each time, or to give up, mark yourself correct even when you're not getting them all, and then complain about how Anki doesn't work for you because you can't remember the things you never actually got right during your reviews.

OP, just make normal single-occlusion cards and then mark that deck 'review new cards in order' and it will show you them in the order they were made (which should be all from one plate, all from the next). They'll get scrambled as you progress in the spaced repetition process, but hopefully you'll know them well enough at that point that it doesn't matter, and besides...if you got rid of the specific timing changes, you'd be kind of skipping the whole point of Anki.

Image occlusion is overrated. Doesn’t do jack to help w/ long term retention. It may help you with Anatomy, but nobody cares about Anatomy except the surgeons. Even w/ the surgeons, they would still advise against image occlusion in Anki. It has been over 12 months since I have been in the Anatomy lab, but my spatial awareness of diff anatomies in relation to each other is still intact due to hours spent shaving that fat, breathing in that formic acid, and dissecting the anatomies.

Don’t need to get cute w/ this class. Just take the beating, get together w/ a few buddies, and spend some time in the lab.

I was shadowing a surgeon recently - he had to attend a meeting so I said I could sit outside and do flash cards on my phone. After the meeting he had me show him my cards. He was so hyped about Anki that for the rest of the day he was having me show the other attendings too.
