Random question for everyone. I've been using the Pepper Pharm deck to study pharm. One problem I'm running into is that for some reason anki is randomly setting my review count to 0 during the middle of a session. For example, I currently have the deck set to 60 new/150 review. I'll get to the point of like 35 new/25 learning/85 review, and if I start to hit "Easy" too many times, my review count will suddenly go to zero. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You shouldn’t have your reviews capped. And you should uncheck bury related new cards until next day in deck options

Those have already been done and it's still not working. I'm noticing that if I'm doing a new card, and I select good on it, there's like 2-3 reviews that magically dissapear. I don't want to be missing some reviews.

Literally JUST had this problem.

Go to options and un-click the checkbox for “bury similar cards”

It’s a quirk in the pepper deck vs anki software where it will try not to show you similar cards so you don’t get them confused

As the others said, it's the burying feature. Pepper has it so several completely different cards originate from 1 note, which is sort of unique. Anki has a built-in feature where they don't show cards from the same note on the same day, so if you have a basic (and reversed) note you don't see both front --> back and back --> front cards on the same day. Thus, after you do the first pepper card the rest of the new cards are buried.

Do as the others said, and also go to your deck options and make sure you un-select "bury related cards" to prevent this from happening in the future. If you are getting cards from other decks or making your own, it may be helpful to create a separate Options Group for Pepper decks, since otherwise you may be getting the front and back of the same note from other decks (same if you try to do 2 different cloze deletions in one note).

It’s crazy how popular the Pepper deck has become. I know the person who made it and he/she scored really well on the Step and COMLEX.

Yea, you read that correctly.

The person who made it is a DO student.

I wonder how many uppity allo students would change their opinions on DOs if they knew who made one of the most prominent study aids being passed around right now (not saying anyone here is DO-hater)

Lol okay, rant over.

If you are doing a new card and press again. Anki will now show you have 2-3 reviews left. Those 2-3 reviews are for that card but pressing easy can graduate it from the steps.
