i have 2 acceptances (2 of the expensive privates) and 1 rejection this cycle (state school).
after interviewing at my state school, i got rejected. i told friends/family/peers about it and how i had no other interviews lined up and felt like it was time to gear up for next cycle.
thankfully though, in dec/jan, a few interviews rolled around and i got accepted into those schools! 😀
now i'm finally revealing to some of the same people that i have been interviewing, got in to 2 places, and generally updating them after the state school fiasco. it is weird though because none of these people seem happy for me! some of them are practicing dentists themselves. others are friends. no one is applying to dental school so there's no competition. i'm so thrilled, because not getting into my state school made me feel like i had NO chance. i just feel the hate and its annoying! has anyone experienced this
still trying to figure out why this thread was created?
Haters hate, it's their job. Not sure why it annoys people when they are just doing their job. They probably hate because your awesome.👍
I mean they don't know how much of a struggle it is to be going through the app/interview/waiting game process. Were you expecting a more emotional response from them or something?

You may find it very calming to down a half a bottle of wine on the porch and let it just simmer.
