ummm 2nd best night life in North America; have you ever been on richmond or adelaide rd in TO? - not my opinion but consensus.. maybe you are one of those people that are too socially deprived that you have yet to venture out of the library/study room to notice any of this?

I lived there for several years as well and it was amazing.

"world class" - i don't think that it compares to NYC or HK or Tokyo or several others.. but they also have like 10x the population

I'm not sure where your "consensus" is coming from, but Toronto is nothing special despite the richmond club district. Even on that topic, your idea of a great night life seems pretty limited if that's the only factor you can muster.

Toronto isn't a terrible place, per se, but it's not special and doesn't have that much going for it.
