What is a Transcript Deadline?
The AMCAS Transcript Deadline is the date that all transcripts required in support of your application must be received.
Transcripts must be received by the following dates:
  • Early Decision Program applications: August 1
  • Regular applications: 14 calendar days after the school's stated application deadline, by 5:00 p.m. ET.
If the transcript deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, materials are due on the following business day. Transcripts should be accompanied by the Transcript Request Form, which is located within the AMCAS Application.

So, let's say school X has a deadline of October 15, does that mean AMCAS has to receive your transcript by October 29, or does it mean AMCAS has to have VERIFIED your transcripts by October 29

Thanks! V.v.V

from reading the excerpt I think they must RECIEVE by oct 29.

It's received, but if you've gotten to that point you're in huge trouble.🙁

Good thing it's months upon months away!👍

On the AMCAS, you're not required to disclose Veteran status, are you?

(sorry, don't mean to hijack the thread)

AMEN!

I'm actually applying ED, but I didn't want to get lectured that applying ED is as stupid as completing your applications in October

Earlier is (a looooot) better, even for ED!

Agreed. And transcripts can get sent out while you are filling out and perfecting the rest of it this month.

Although if you don't graduate for another week or so and your school has lots of students, you might just get stuck at that stage anyway. Some schools will let you make a transcript request early and hold the release until final grades are in, though!👍
