Hi Guys -

I'm applying for the first time this year. After reviewing the AACOMAS instructions I ran into something I don't quite understand.

I see that you can enter either GPA or Letter Grade into the system, which then will get standardized to the AACOM grading scale. My undergrad uses GPA.

My question is, if I enter a 3.5 into the system, does it get "standardized" to an A- (3.7) or B+ (3.3) when they recalculate my GPA. Or does it stay a 3.5 when they calculate it?

Thanks for any info

3.57 cGPA, took a couple classes outside of main undergrad university and received As. But I'm asking if I enter an individual class grade as 3.5, do they standardize it to an A- (which would then translate to a 3.7) or a B+ (which would drop it to a 3.3).

So there are NO letter grades on your transcript at all? This is highly unlikely and pretty weird. Best to contact AACOMAS.

Nope. Strictly GPA based no letter grades. Thanks ya I will contact them.

I think I see what you're saying, that part is confusing. I would just ignore that section honestly, you can tell they're speaking towards a really strange grading system.

I used their proposed numerical scale (which makes statistical sense):
A 4.0 A- 3.7 B+ 3.3 B 3.0 B- 2.7 C+ 2.3 C 2.0 etc..

And that's because my UG used a +/- grading scale. If your school doesn't use that scale then you'd only enter whole numbers.
