Can somone please explain how many and exactly from whom the letters of recommendation should come from. I am a math major, and am wondering if a letter from a math professor would constitute a letter from a "science" teacher. Or do they mean bio, chem, and physics teachers only? Also who do they send the letters to, and via what source?

Since math classes are counted in the BCPM gpa, a letter from a math prof counts as a "science" letter. You need two of these letters, in addition to one from a non-science prof, at a minimum. You are allowed to submit a few more (for example, from a doc you shadowed, or a PI) if you wish.

Look at each schools website...you NEED a prehealth committee letter if your school has one to apply to most schools. If not, then you will prob need to explain why you don't have one, then get science and non science letters.

Since OP is a math major, he could also use math as nonscience letter especially one from those pure math classes. I had 2 math letters 2 chem letters and one from my PI, so I'm pretty sure that the math letters counted for my nonscience letters.

Just curious, where in the application do you explain why you are not using a committee letter?
