I wasn't able to find an answer to this question by searching the archives. I understand that per the new rules a resident is limited to 80 hours (averaged) per week in house, that each residency program has their own policy on moonlighting, that at the earliest you can't start until PGY-2 etc... This being said....

Per the Freida listings, when a program says "No" to "moonlighting allowed within institution" does that mean that said program likely won't let you moonlight at a neighboring hospital not associated with the program (ie can you assume that the progam is anti-moonlighting in general)?

Thanks in advance.

This is something to bring up during an interview. Some programs won't allow any moonlighting at all and others will allow some. I wouldn't go by what Freida says about it, ask the residents.
