I have some uneven stats with decent (not spectacular) ECs including research, medical volunteering, nonmedical volunteering, shadowing, scribing, hobbies, etc. My undergraduate institution has a reputation of being a party school so idk how that'll affect my application.
  • Cumulative AMCAS GPA: 4.00
  • Science AMCAS GPA: 4.00
  • MCAT: 513 (90%)
  • Was born in Romania, immigrated to the US at the age of 6.
  • White male
I'm having a hard time coming up with a good school list because I keep on considering yield protection and for a lot of the schools I'm in their 90th percentile for GPA, but 10th percentile for MCAT.

Here's what I got so far:

  1. UA – Phoenix (Public)
  2. UA – Tucson (Public)
  3. University of Miami
  4. Medical College of Wisconsin
  5. Creighton University
  6. Emory University
  7. Rush University
  8. Thomas Jefferson University
  9. Lewis Katz
  10. University of Rochester
  11. Wake Forest University
  12. Western Michigan University
  13. University of Pittsburgh
  14. Dartmouth University
  15. Hofstra University
  16. University of Cincinnati (Public)
  17. University of Iowa (Public)
  18. Ohio State University (Public)
  19. University of Vermont (Public)
  20. University of Colorado (Public)
  21. Albert Einstein College of Medicine
  22. Quinnipiac University
  23. Tufts University
  24. Eastern Virginia Medical School (Public)
  25. Saint Louis University
  26. New York Medical College
  27. Penn State University
  28. University of Missouri – Kansas City (Public)
  29. Brown University
  30. George Washington University
  31. Georgetown University
  32. Oakland University (Public)
  33. Mayo – Minnesota
  34. Mayo – Arizona
  35. Stanford University
  36. USC
  37. Yale
  38. Weill Cornell
  39. Boston University
  40. University of Utah (Public)

You will definitely receive a bunch of interviews with those stats and applying to 40 schools. Assuming of course you have some decent EC's such as shadowing and volunteering.

Should I consider removing some of the schools or is this a pretty good number?

You could remove schools such as Utah and Missouri as they prefer their own residents. This is also true for Iowa, Colorado and Ohio State though these do accept more non residents.
Will do! Thanks for the help.
