So pharmCAS calculated my GPAs....

Science : 3.15 (C's in both damn G-chems...sucks🙁)
Overall : 3.40

I just started volunteering at CVS in June...and now I'm getting hired.😀
I got 2.5 years experience in direct patient care (phys therapy)
I hope my rec's wrote some reallly good letters. haha!
Few EC's...no more than 200 hours total
NO awards/honors/research
Have yet to take the PCAT (August 23rd...crossing fingers,toes,eyes...and all)

What do you guys think? Do I have a standing chance in CA? What schools should I look into with these stats.

Thanks..all feedback is much appreciated.

People have gotten in with your GPA. Just study your butt off for the PCAT and write a stellar personal statement. Remember that they don't look at just the GPA. Good luck on the PCAT!

PS: If you do apply and don't get in, ask what kept you out. The schools will tell you and this will show them that you are dedicated to getting in. If it was your GPA, start re-taking classes in the fall. Just don't let the job take too much away from your studies.

I agree with IrishRxMan, but am sure you'll do fine with the PCAT in two weeks. Be sure to nail it and it'll help you stick out when you apply, later.

In the meantime (after the PCAT), ie: if you don't have any remaining coursework, consider doing a little service work to pad down any shortcomings on honors-related stuff.

Best of luck!

what degree do you hold if any and from what university? these are important factors.
