Ok, At my university doing undergraduate research counts as a class and the PI has the option of either allowing you to take it was a grade or just class credit. The name of it on a transcript is BIOL 4910 Molecular Biology - Cytokines. I chose to take it for a letter grade. It will appear on my transcript 4 times for a total of 10 credit hours (3,2,2,3). I completely busted my ass in it so i receive an A every semester. Would AMCAS just average it all together for an average of 4.0 and only give me credit for 3 hours towards my final sgpa? or would i be blessed with the 10 hours of 4.0? My premed advisor seems to think it will stack and count as four seperate classes. Thank you for dealing with me : )

I think that, if you label the title transparently [i.e. Molecular Biology Research - Cytokines], you should get credit for each individually [in opposition to having something like "Introduction to Biology" 4 times on your transcript].
