Destroyer Bio says Gas exchange occurs in fetal lungs; what gives? I thought all circulation would occur via chorion and allantois. Aren't the fetal lungs collapsed and filled with surfactant?

Thoughts?

wikipedia says "The circulatory system of a human fetus works differently from that of born humans, mainly because the lungs are not in use: the fetus obtains oxygen and nutrients from the woman through the placenta and the umbilical cord.[30]"
