Hey guys,
I posted something in the most recent thread but was adviced to make a new one. I have an overall gpa from undergrad at 3.18. My science gpa is either a 3.03 (if my independent studies count and my stats class counts) or its a sad 2.91 if they don't.
I am currently in a master's program (at the same school as my undergrad) which is a 1 year program and hopefully i'll be done by May (otherwise its till August of 2010).

I plan on taking the DATs this December. I also plan on shadowing during January and after. I was planning on going abroad for a few months after my master's to volunteer abroad for a dental program.

Now my questions:
1. I was wondering if anyone knew whether psych classes, stat classes, and independent studies are taken into account for sci GPAs? I've been searching for those websites that tell you what counts and what doesn't but most of them confuse me...
2. Will my classes as a masters student be taken into account by dental schools?
3. What are my chances if this is what i'm working with??

If anyone has had a similar situation like mine and has gone thru the process and can let me know how it was I'd be truly grateful.
Thanks

I am at a state school in New England

it sounded like a program that I was in.. anyway..

i believe psyc count as non-science GPA this year, stat count as science GPA, while your independent study will have to depend which department is giving you that grade I guess..

classes from your master's program will count in your graduate and cumulative GPA (combine undergrad and grad) ... you still have to do well on them... it will definitely add another dimension to your apps...

good luck studying DAT
