the answer is c....coz ducts are always lined by simple cells and are cuboidal.thay dont have two or more layers of cells.

ans is -stratified columnar(salivary glands r large exocrine glands)

stratified cuboidal -medium exocrine gland ducts, like sweat glands

simple cuboidal-small exocrine gland ducts like thyroid follicles.

pls correct if im wrong....

So what's the answer?

1 vote for simple cubodial

1 vote for simple columnar

2 votes for stratified columnar (which is not a choice...👍)

From Ross Histology:

salivary gland and striated duct is lined by SIMPLE COLUMNAR
while epi. lining collecting duct is SIMPLE CUBOIDAL.....

thats wt given in the new decks... ( i think que. may be straited duct not straight duct ...)

correct me if i m wronge..

Common guys... Striated ducts of the salivary glands are lined with SIMPLE CUBOIDAL epithelium. Easy question to find the answer to. I just took 2 histology tests on Wednesday. one that covered the organs and glands associated with the digestive tract, and a cumulative final, which of course would also cover organs and glands associated with the digestive tract. defiantly simple cuboidal.

stratified squamous and stratified columnar found in parotid gland according to this source.

Parotid gland striated duct has simple columnar epithelium. Smaller excretory ducts have simple columnar. Larger excretory ducts are lined by stratified columnar. (according to Ross histology and my histo professor's notes)

Parotid gland drains into intercalated ducts (longest in the gland) which are lined with simple cubodial epithelium.
Ans is simple cubodial epithelium 👍
hope that cleared up the mystery! 😳
