FA says 2/9a/10a/11a/12a on one page, then just a few later it says 2/7/9/10/11 I think (I don't get wireless where I study and I forgot to take FA with me to post this).

What's the real story? Obviously I know warfarin plays around with 2/7/9/10.

Antithrombin inactivates factors 2a (Thrombin), 9-12 (intrinsic pathway), and factor 7 (extrinsic pathway)

Cool. I guess this another instance of FA including partial info on a topic in one place, and different partial info on the same subject elsewhere, in the hopes that we'll hunt it down and piece it together on our own. Happens a lot with things like med side effects.

Oh also, anyone know why XIII isn't evaluated by a PTT? I'll be honest, I didn't even know there was a XIII until Step studying. We never learned that.

aPTT initiates coagulation in the intrinsic pathway by activating Factor XII (Coalin, the main reagent in aPTT activates Factor XII), skipping the steps done by Factor XIII.
