Take this for what it is, I think if you have the stats of at least 3.5 and 19 dat avg for texas schools then applying early allows you to get an interview a lot sooner. But what about those who don't have those stats, lets say you send it in early, schools get it then what. Do adcoms really look at your application to find some sort of glimpse of a dentist in your application. I doubt it, if you don't have the numbers for the first round you don't go to the second round, "Don't pass go and collect 200 dollars". So in the end does early mean better maybe if you have the numbers, otherwise sending it in is not neccessarily the best way. I think as long as you get it in a timely manner at least a couple of months before the deadline your okay. I'm not trying to discourage anyone who doesn't have the 3.5 and 19Dat, I am one of them as well. I just want to put a different perspective out there, see what people might say.
