hi guys-
great website, thanks for any help you can give. does anyone have advice on a cheap way to travel from boston to burlington, vermont, and back? amtrak is the only thing i know of, and it is a bit pricey.
boston chinatown bus to NYC is great-if anyone is interested in that, you can find it on a google search-$20 round trip.
any similar bus deals to vermont that anyone knows of?
thank you!!

there's a Concord Trailways bus that leaves South Station and goes to Manchester, NH in about an hour for $9 round trip. I'm not sure if there's a bus from Manchester to Burlington though. You could probably call up their bus station to find out.

Prepare to kill yourself if you drive. :p Never have I been so bored in my life.

However, its still better than driving to Hanover.

On topic, I would definitely recommend taking a bus as it would be cheapest. The trains are generally going to be expensive.

I dont know when jetblue opens up in boston...tho i hear it is pretty soon....

you can always think about going boston to burlington if time is a concern and if you are not going there for a bit.

but outside of that....i hear the drive is just a bunch of nothing so get a bus or train. i havent heard of anything direct to burlington but i have heard of the poster that talked about the manchester deal.

thanks, everyone for all of your tips!

i drove and did it through foliage season and had a great time. great way to see the state. i recommend renting a car. from boston it is no more than 4 hours. i did it from NYC in 6.

you guys are crazy w/ your "boring" rap. NH and VT are 2 of the most beautiful states in the country. Experiencing their natural beauty for a few hours is far from boring.

Ok, I felt like a loser reading the first few posts here - I LOVE driving to Burlington! I did it from Rochester, NY and even took the scenic route :) But then again, I'm from Maine, so seeing endless trees is nothing new for me. I would much rather drive to the middle of nowhere than to NYC!
