Hey guys,

Just wondering for those who had NYU and Yale interviews, how they were and any advice you might have...:)

Yale was very chill. Open file, two faculty interviews. Staff and director of admissions are both very nice. Start out with short schpiel about Yale, watch a short video, and then go on your interviews. Eat lunch with med students, tour, you're done. Just make sure you're on time, they were sticklers for that.

yale was fantastic. you really really have to show how you can fit in with the yale system. it isn't different in terms of the education persey, but the attitude is quite diff - i found it refreshing. they want self-motivated people who are interested in a range o things -- show how you fit. goodluck, its a very chill day, just 2 interviews for the med shcool.

For NYU:
Totally chill. Be prepared to make friends with the student tour guides/lunch host people. Have specific questions for them and for your interviewer. Be prepared to talk about your extracurricular experiences and why you got involved with them. They give you a $15 credit at the cafeteria so you can really eat a nice lunch as long as you're not too nervous. And there is no reason to be nervous since it is so chill and totally open-file.
