Hey there everyone. I am a 1st year medical student who just found out to be HBsAg+ and I was wondering if/how this will affect my future as a physician, as well as during 3rd/4th years which will be coming up pretty soon. I am really freaking out because this news really came out of nowhere for me. Please let me know what you guys think.

Hi. So, most people who contract Hep B clear the virus from their body successfully. I would talk with your primary care doctor and schedule some more titers to try to figure out if and when your body will clear the virus. Otherwise I'm not sure what the policies are....I wouldn't freak out just yet though.

I wouldn't do **** until the test is repeated, not even freak out.
