Does bein a dental student hold any clout in hygiene programs? There's one near my school and I've worked with some cute hygienists/DAs in the past, wondering if it might be a good way to meet future mrs.

It will absolutely hold some clout, however, as a dental student, I’m going to guess you have nothing to your name but student loans and a class II under your belt experience wise. You’ll have a better chance, but be prepared to be pushed aside if an established dentist or specialist catches their eye

Aren’t most hygienists in better financial positions than dentists now that wages for them have come up so much while dental debt has also been going up at least until they’re practice owners
Dental students are poor. Many try to act cool and rich when they’re not. There can be a huge huge upswing though!

I always saw this (in my real life I mean) situation as more of a second wife after your first leaves you for sleeping with your eventual second wife type scenario tbh.

*Not an endorsement

Let’s back up a second. 2 questions:
Do you ascribe to a religion in which marriage is important?
Do you desire to have children?
If the answer to the questions is no, avoid marriage at all costs.

1st/2nd year=less clout. Now 3rd/4th year=more clout. More so because you're about to graduate.

We talked to the hygiene students and hung out from time to time. Had some classmates (myself included) that went on dates with some. I don't recall anyone ending up with someone long-term. However, 10% of my classmates ended up dating and marrying each other though. I think that's because we were always in class/clinic together.
