Hey everyone,

I am a senior at a Jesuit university. I am worried about my chances of getting into an osteopathic medical school. I am really dying to get into the D.O./Ph.D. program at Ohio University. I got a 1.908 GPA from my first year college. Transferred to current university, and have a 3.36. If anyone has some comments on getting into an osteopathic medical school, by all means I will be grateful. Plus, does have anyone tips about studying for the MCATs. Thanks to everyone who responds!!!

Icedoctor - numbers are definitely not everything, but you do have to make sure your gpa meets the minimum criteria to warrant a second look at the schools you are interested in. Keep in mind that AACOMAS will calculate a cumulative gpa based on all courses you've taken, rather than seeing your 2 gpas alone. Your more recent course work may bring up your 1.9 considerably. good luck!
