Any cons to not listing race/ethnicity in CAF?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I forgot to mention that most programs screen this information. ERAS allows us to block information completely -- race, age, sex, citizenship, etc -- so that we can make interviewing decisions without them. I expect that many programs will screen ethnicity.

They don't really need you to answer because they have your picture, so it makes absolutely no difference if you answer the question.

I suspect that question is a relic from the paper application and no one has taken the time to rethink the CAF.

It would be foolish not to send your picture. Sorry. You need to make the best picture you can get. There is no way you can convince me it doesn't matter. The coordinators always want to look. OF course if they screen for it then it wont matter but I bet they dont screen for it like they do for race/ethnicity.

Heh, I agree that it must be a relic of the paper application.
