any cornell ugrads out there?

everybody makes a big deal about sending your application stuff in early.. then the damn hcec (cornells premed committee) doenst send anything out until aug 17? why do they do that, doesnt that just defeat the purpose of applying early?

I have been wondering the same thing, however I think because most schools dont give you secondaries until augest, if you apply early then HCEC really isnt sending it out late.

Seriously- don't worry about it... Sending stuff in any time in august is still very early. There are many people out there who are still sending secondaries in November, and if you have an august MCAT then you're file won't be complete until really late. Cornellians aren't at a disadvantage because of the HCEC. Although the HCEC is annoying as hell in my opinion.
