Any D.O.'s in Boston?

I live in Boston and am interested in applying to some DO schools. The only thing is that I am concerned about the job market here since most doctors here are MDs.

Does anyone else live in Boston? And want to practice in Boston? How's the job market?

If it's relevant, I want to work in an emergency department.

its tough but not impossible. i believe one of the em department heads at tufts is a do. i'm not sure i've seen any at mgh/brigham/bi/bmc although its been a few years since i was around there

It's unlikely you'll be able to do your residency in Boston. You'd probably be able to find a job in Boston if you went to a decent Acgme EM program.

Of the 5 EM programs in massachutues, tufts-bay state seems like the only one that takes DOs.

If you're willing to be in Worcester (~40-60 min from Boston), there's a few DO residents at UMass.
