Any ex-consultants out there?

I decided to take 2 years off between college and medical school. I wanted to do something challenging and out of the box for myself. I am currently at a consulting firm in the life science practice. I was wondering if there are any ex-consultants out there who were successful with their applications.

--Did medical schools challenge your decision to do business at all?
--If you are now in medical school, how do you think the experience affected your decisions?
--Lastly, anyone consider doing a MD/MBA?
