Any experiences with having a baby right after graduation or early in first attending job?

How supportive are most hospitals/clinics if they have a newly hired attending who turns out to be pregnant and will give birth pretty soon after starting the job?
Is it likely to cause problems for me if I have a baby less than a year after starting my first "real job"?

I'm sure a lot of you know how it is. I am going to be 32 when I finish all my graduation and don't want to wait too long to have a kid, but I'm also worried about the consequences. If it matters, I am in psychiatry, so thankfully it is a pretty lifestyle friendly specialty.

There are about as many answers to this question as there are women who have been through it. The good news is that it's illegal for an employer to discriminate against you due to being pregnant. The bad news is that it will be almost impossible to prove that on your part.

There's honestly no "good" time to have a baby. So just do it and figure out the rest when it happens.
