Helloo everyone,
This summer is when I will be self-studying for my DAT for about 2-3 months! I'll be working almost full time if I choose to do so, but it's also a job when I have some downtime as well. I'll also be volunteering and shadowing... I'm not applying this year, but next year...

After looking at a few people's breakdowns, I've decided to use these materials:
AP BIO cliffs + AP BIO BARRON's
Destroyer Supreme set
Crack the DAT Ace for PAT
Chad's Videos
Kaplan's Blue Book
Maybe: Crack DAT + Achiever for RC

Is there anything else people would suggest?
Also, are there any good study habits people have or any good gadgets for staying focused and healthy? I plan to work out at the gym a couple times a week, set aside a few hours a day just for relaxation and stuff. Any good types of foods?

Im in the same boat as you. sophomore in college studying this summer. applying next june, not this. i am also going to do qvault just for extra practice its only 22$ and ive heard good things. im just going to get myself into a strict study schedule ideally that is. planned out what im going to do and eat and stuff. Im going to take a half day on wednesday. full practice test every saturday and off on sundays. i feel like you im going to need a lot of stucture when i first start then feel out my weak areas from there.

Don't waste your money on Kaplan Blue Book. All the information in it is in the other books, and the other books do a better job of summarizing it. Also, it's like 4 times more expensive than everything else. The practice tests at the back of the book are also not indicative of your final score, and will throw you off.

I'd definitely use Crack PAT as your intro to PAT, and then follow it up with Achiever as your date gets closer. Achiever is more difficult, and IMO more representative of the exam.

For Bio, Free99 mentioned Craig Savage videos on Youtube. I used them to review stuff I was weaker in and it was great. Savage's taxonomy section was especially useful as he goes through Taxonomy and the evolutionary timeline which is extremely useful, and IMO, the easiest way to retain differences and why they occur.

I also found this site of animated tutorials extremely useful to review stuff:

I'd also suggest DATBootCamp.com Ari (gatorD) made it, and it's chemistry sections, IMO, were closest to the real exam. The format and layout are similar to the DAT.
